Hiya My Dad's at Fylde and has just rung me to tell me. Utter shock and disbelief. Colin should have been at Fylde as usual but Maurice and Ilene (you'll know them if uve met them) had pitched Colin's tent for him and were concerned when he didn't show up and his mobile was going straight to answer phone. Concerned, they spoke to Graham Langhorne (dep Chief Steward) who tried to contact Colin but was informed that he'd been found dead in bed on Friday morning, either by a friend or his mother, not certain which. If I get any more details I'll keep u posted. Thats as much as we know at the moment. So many happy memories of one of lifes genuinely nice blokes. A great big man with a big heart, always ready with a hug and some dry humour. I just can't believe it. It just wont be the same without him. Just hope we can all have a bloody good sing at the funeral (no details yet im afraid) and give him a good send off. Hopefully quite a few of Colin's fellow Shellback's will be there... :'( Jenny Briggs (Keith Briggs' daughter)
