I only came to know Colin in the last year or so - his calmness under pressure at Warwick this year, faced with irate campers who were not allowed to take vehicles onto the field, was amazing. I had to walk away to keep my temper. It was legendary. I will remember Colin and his big voice - when speaking and singing - with great fondness. A big man-mountain. Sorry I can't be at the funeral or the sing. Sleep well big fella.
