In 2004, some 640,000 voters in Ohio were disenfranchised by various bits of hanky-panky, such as not enough voting machines, making some people stand in line for up to eight hours. This was generally in historically predominantly Democratic districts. Similar stunts in a couple of other states, along with some states' first time use of some very questionable (Diebold) touch-screen computers. |
