I feel I should explain what I started to say, my server cut me off yesterday. The Embassy bombings were a tragic and cowardly act (Im certainly not taking their side). Terrorists often target peaceful civilians as well as military. The US did become involved however when the navy shelled the Shouf mountains (I dont think you can call that a peaceful act) By doing so they put their own citizens at risk and subsequently were unprepared for the suicide bombings (who is). Anyway I didnt want to turn the tragedy of your fathers death into a debate but I think the US govt was unprepared and failed to appreciate what they were getting into and the consequences of that shelling of the terrorist camps (the operation was called Reach Out and Touch Someone).
