May I suggest some standard jugband songs that feature kazoo solos. There are two, basic, "ragtime" patterns. I////VI7////II7//V7//I//// ////VI7////II7////V7//// I////I7////IV////Idim////I////VI7////II7/V7//I//// Songs like "How Come You Do Me Like You Do, Do, Do?" or "You've Got To See You Papa Every Night Or You Can't See Papa Ar All". For some reason, the kazoo, usually, plays an atonal obligato in that measur with the diminished chord. or V7////I////V7////(I////)V7////I//I7//IV/Idim/I/VI7/II7/V7/I// These songs include "I Wish I Could Shimmy Like My Sister, Kate", "We Love A College Girl" and Tom Lehrer's "Vatican Rag". That measure in parentheses is, often, played tacit. Good luck and dont forget to tune your kazoo to A440. Mike
