Hello! :) I am looking for a song performed by Steeleye Span. Apparently it was on one of their albums, but after much searching I have not been able to locate it. I wonder if anyone here who may have heard of it could provide its title, the lyrics or generally any further information? These rather fragmentary lines is what I know of it so far: I think it begins: "I was found last night standing at the window staring out at the driving rain, In the darkness I was told I must be getting old(?)" And the chorus contains the words: "Hold me, that's the only truth I can be sure of; Love me, save this weary soul tonight from sorrow The bells may not be ringing out tomorrow." Any help at all would be greatly appreciated, though I apologise for giving so little to go on! :) It is a song someone in my family is looking for and they believe it was probably released by Steeleye Span sometime in the later '70s. Thanks very much for reading! :)
