Don - I bought an Intelli tuner last month on a friend's recommendation and it only cost me £12.99 (USD26)- must be cheaper over here for some reason. What I like about it is that the screen lights up red when the string's out of tune and green when it's in tune, as well as having the little brackets on either side of the note that you describe. This colour-change screen is handy for short-sighted types like me who refuse to wear their specs at the folk club! Rapaire - not sure if these Intelli tuners work with a trumpet - I suspect they're for strings only. Arnie
