I want to thank Anonymous Guest for taking the time to provide a detailed analysis of the Eisteddfod Festival in New York. I agree that the Queens site has many advantages over the old Brooklyn site. The closer availability of food, and the safer feeling of the neighborhood at night for example. Though I never heard of anyone getting hurt near Brooklyn Polytech at night, it is deserted after dark. Jackson Heights in Queens is bustling at any hour, and has a remarkable mix of people from around world, with ethnic restaurants to match. Parking for $15 a day may sound like alot to out of towners, but for New York City, trust me, it is a bargain. Also closer and more affordable than the Brooklyn site. It's always difficult to find enough volunteers and housing for an event like this. The amount of work involved in put on a festival is staggering. Not everything has gone as well as we'd like. All things considered, however, I think the festival has been, and will continue to be, an event well worth attending. Last year in particular I found it to be a warm welcoming place to hear and participate in some wonder ful music with some terrific people.
