Personal favourite is " The song of Hosea" sung to a tune similar to Tom Paxton's "Everytime" and based on the words of the prophet Hosea. A very moving Hymn not widely known but I will post the words if anyone wants them Here is the first verse as a taster How can I forget and leave my loved one How can I depart my love wounded is my heart How can I forget that I'm compassion How can I depart from her nearer to my heart O Israel why have you pierced my heart why have you gone see your love is melting like the dew drop Dry and fallow lies your ground withered is your heart Don't know who wrote it but has been a longtime favourite
