There are some crafts / vendors (mostly vendors). The workshops are terrific, the concerts are great, and the participatory performances are fantastic. I've never been to NEFFA, but NOMAD feels small, intimate, and fun--very low-key. The hallway/stairwell jams are great too! This will be the first year I've done more than pass by the gyms--they're always a-twirl with dancers. Reynaud and I have been going for (I think) 8 or 9 years (I can't believe it!), and we wouldn't miss it for anything. Have a blast! V
