The second verse is quite different from the one I learned off the Carolina Buddies 78 many years ago and which is the same in Billy Murray's version. It's funnier IMO.

When Brown came out old Jonsey said she sure did beat you up

And then said Jones she threw you out a wreck
But are you going to stand for that and Brownie answered "no"
