At last! I've searched for the lyrics to that song from time to time over the years and can't say how delighted I am to find them, and a few others who love the song.

My parents had the Matchstalk Men single with this on the B side and I used to dance around the record player to it as a four year old. It holds such happy memories for me, although it's a rather melancholy song.

I seem to remember a chorus something like:

'She was bonny, she was fair
She had long golden hair..'

..but then I was only four.
