harpmolly Butch Baldassari Benefit Concert Dec 1 - Seattle (27) Butch Baldassari Benefit Concert 07 Nov 07

Hello everyone...

I decided to make a separate thread for this instead of just adding it to the Dusty Strings PermaThread, because my intuition is that a lot of 'Catters would want to know about it. Here goes:

Benefit Concert for the Butch Baldassari Medical Fund
Saturday, December 1, 7:30 p.m., $25
Dusty Strings Acoustic Music Shop, Seattle, WA
(206) (or toll-free 866) 634-1662

Butch Baldassari is a highly respected and well-loved mandolin player and teacher based in Nashville, who has recently been diagnosed with inoperable brain tumor and has been undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatment. The music community has banded together to support Butch's recovery, and Dusty Strings is proud to host a benefit concert organized by world-class mandolinist John Reischman. This concert will feature jazz- and Brazilian-flavored original instrumentals by John Reischman and John Miller, acoustic blues by Orville Johnson, John Miller and Grant Dermody, and bluegrass and old-time music by John Reischman, Trisha Gagnon, and Nick Hornbuckle of the band John Reischman & the Jaybirds. All proceeds will go to the Butch Baldassari Medical Fund.

Visit www.mandolincafe.com and www.soundartrecordings.com for more information about Butch Baldassari.

Visit www.johnreischman.com , www.johnsonmilleranddermody.com and www.thejaybirds.com for more information on the performers.

(I tried to make blue clickies, but for some reason they didn't format properly.)
fixed them for you - el joe clone

Hope all you Puget Sound 'Catters can make it!

Cheers,

Molly
