The same is true of the Medway Delta in England... the Strood basin being a fine repository of music not found elsewhere, even in Rochester. As to whether it's genetic, it's more likely that it's geographical, the people are short and only a few of them can climb Chatham Hill to get out, especially with a gumbo case.
