I have found that you can easily use double the amount of chocolate chips or broken chocolate and still have the cake set properly. Good news, eh?

Also, I have switched to using vanilla paste instead of extract since I didn't like the alcohol taste in the cake. Because its made in a crockpot, the alcohol doesn't cook off, it condenses on the sides or lid and drops back into or onto the cake.   Maybe it would have been better to put some paper towels over the cake and under the lid like the banana Cream upside down cake. I dunno. I just find that using vanilla paste solves the problem.
