The Springfield Wager
Now Felicia Daniels a vet she would be,
Although she is still in eighth grade,
And when poor Sir Isaac lay broke on the ground,
A wager she instantly made.
A wager, a wager, a wager she cried,
I'll bet one dollar to your ten,
That though poor Sir Isaac lies broke on yhe ground,
I will put him together again.
She quickly assembled her medical team,
Chris Davis and Charity T,
They soon were scrubbed up, and in plastic gloves,
They began to perform surgery.
Poor Sir Isaac's insides were all outside, I fear,
It looked like the end of his life,
But she poked them back in with a popsicle stick,
And saved the tarantula's life.
A whole tube of Loctite was brought into play,
It's really quick setting you see,
It sealed up his tummy in quite a neat way,
He was groggy, but fit as a flea.
The Science Teacher thought he'd not live through the night,
She was wrong, he was there the next day,
Sat munching a mealworm with obvious delight,
And saying 'Felicia, let's play!'
Never thought I'd write a song about a spider!
