I still can't figure out this exchange rate exactly, but it seems that even if your pounds are worth more than our American dollars, you still are paying the same amount.

Well, if you can afford $700-800 in US dollars , you may want to check into some Guilds. A fairly nice sounding, resonant and playable guitar for a decent price.
