Dave, I suppose it all depends on your expectations - whether you are an audioophile or not - what sort of
equipment you are using, and so on. I have one CD player that won't play m4a, my iTunes default
setting, so if I want to use it I just change whatever I need to mp3 and I've never been able to notice any difference.
