There's some chicken/tomatillo/posole soup in the fridge right now; we just finished off a pot of a savory carrot soup; turkey mushroom; menudo; bouillabaise; cioppino; and years ago there was a cafe near the dock at La Push, Washington, that made as good a clam chowder as I can recall -- when I was last there, I couldn't find even a trace of it, so maybe it was merely a fantasy of the perfect chowder. . . just for starters.
