The strawbear is just the tonic in the post christmas lull. Do not worry about the oiks, it is no different to any small market town. I have been every year for the last seven years and have had nothing but enjoyment - even made a morris coat for my lurcher! The Boat is always worth a visit at any time of the weekend and definitely the Brickies for Friday night. I am sorry the southport sword will not be there though.
