Our 'Song Carriers' singaround used to meet in the Unicorn, in the mid to late 90s. They installed a giant Sky Sports TV screen in the old club room and we were thrown out. A few years later we heard that the sports TV had not been a great success and we went back for a few months. The new singaround wasn't a great success either - I forget exactly why, but it may have had something to do with the fact that, in the interim, the central Manchester one-way system had changed and it wasn't as easy to get, to from south Manchester, as it had been.
