Inter Varsity Folk Dance Festival (IVFDF) 2008 (www.ivfdf.ceilidhsoc.org) is on 29th Feb – 2nd March 2008 and has a confirmed line up of:

Glorystrokes (possibly the only traditional metalcore ceilidh band in the country?)
The Gloworms (shiny English ceilidh)
John Spiers and Jon Boden
Crucible
Triple Scotch (Scottish Ceilidh)
Janiveer (Eurodance - feat members of Jabadaw)
Vertical Expression (contra)
The Grinders' Misfortune Society (Late Night Groove – Tom Wright (Eliza Carthy and the 3/2 five, Glorystrokes), Helena Reynolds (Crucible), Gavin Davenport (Crucible, Glorystrokes), Martin Keates (Jabadaw) and Jon Brenner (Gloworms))

Plus workshops and sessions and a morris tour open to any teams wishing to join it.

All based in Sheffield Student Union using the main gig and nightclub venues. Tickets are ridiculously cheap (£25/£16 for the whole weekend) and free indoor camping is provided.
