I've started teaching guitar to the neighbor's 14 year old daughter. She is using a loaner, a Craftsman Travel Guitar. Her Dad wants to know what kind of guitar to get her. He is looking at under $200. The daughter is a Taylor Swift wannabe with the goal of playing in her room and maybe for some friends. No electronics needed. Any suggestions? I have suggested that Dad steer away from Dreadnought sizes.
