Personally, I think tunes are always about something or someone. Whenever, I play a tune, in particular an air, but also with marches, jigs, polkas, reels I try to put myself into it. If anyone is familiar with the liner notes written by Seamus Ennis on The Best of Irish Piping you will know how he beautifully describes what tunes mean to him. Isnt it wonderful what a set of dots can do to emotions? So I must be missing the point you are making Bert Fegg. Blue skies (but not in Beverley) Ged
