I remembered a bit that Grandad used to sing :
    "There were Burmese, Singalese,
    the Army and the Infantry,
    Mademoiselle from Armentiers
    and the Lancashire Fusiliers"
And I think it might have been the same song as the one with "Rc, C of E" in it, that I posted separately, (sorry) but I just can't remember it...
