Bill D. I get "something bad happened to..." messages, the shortcut to AVG ceases to respond, and the only way to deal with it is to uninstall and start again. It's AVG Free anti-virus, I am talking about. I am reluctant to pay for AVG if I still have this recurrent timewaste to deal with. I had been getting similar problems with Norton, so a friend loaded AVG instead. I wonder if there is something sinister on the computer that is causing this. I have run the anti-spyware programme.
