I had this song on an album when I was a kid and I've been trying to find a copy of it for years. The record also had a song with the lyrics "Lavender blue, dilly, dilly Lavender green..." (I think). It was a woman singing and she was pictured on the front wearing a lavender taffeta dress. Please tell me that this is a real song and not a figment of my imagination that has been running through my head all these years!
