Racer Tab Req: Layenda (13) RE: Tab Req: Layenda 19 May 00

Through the first fifteen measures of the song, I see "C VII". There are no chords being played, and the B on the open string would be impossible with a barre. Then in measure 49, I'm seeing "1/2C VII". There is no real apparent difference here except for the fact that the music is sort of winding down for the slow part. I can understand this notation as far as chords go, but as for melody, they seem to note a position.

Are they maybe telling me where my index finger should be positioned, not necessarily barred?

Also, the music I printed from the site mentioned earlier shows the open B string being double picked during the melody. Both scores I have show that as octaves (one on the open B the other on the seventh fret of the high E). The recording that I have of Andres Segovia also has him playing it in octaves. Which one is closer to the way the original composer wrote it?

Of course the web version lists it as being in the key of G. I had thought it was in E minor.

Thanks everyone for your help.
