For me the joy of Sidmouth is the festival outside of the festival. The sheer number of singarounds and tune sessions, along with the al fresco dancing and entertainment makes it hard to beat. There is so much more to the festival than just sitting in concerts. IMHO it is worth coming just to see Great Western Morris perform (blatant plug alert).
