Hi,

My name is Adrian Beadnell and I've sung, and played bass guitar, for the Fettlers since 1979.

The 'tune' was written by band member, Bob Skingle, who has just rejoined the band after a 7 year retirement. The words were written Marion Marshall, the wife of the long-term 'caller' with the Fettlers Ceilidh Band, Ron Marshall. It was performed by The Fettlers on a Highway programme from Whitby in 1985.                                 

The Teesside Fettlers have recently reformed the 'concert' band, when Bob came out of retirement, and includes me, Stewart McFarlane and Stan Gee.

Our next concert is at Saltburn Cricket Club, 01287 622761, on 12 April.
