The open-ended nature of the thread title has allowed all the usual suspects to park their hobbyhorses on the lawn. I would estimate that less than 100 posts are in any way relevant to the subject of the original post. It's the price of frredom,but, as Tom has pointed out, it's also deeply depressing.
