Years ago from maybe the World Service I taped a fragment of a version of the Lowlands of Holland to a lively melody. Each verse ends 'Since these high winds and stormy seas have come and parted my love and me' though I have only two verses so others may vary. One verse goes 'Said the mother to her daughter, what makes you so lament, There are men enough in Galloway that'll make your heart content, Oh there's men enough in Gallowa, Alas ther's none for me, Since these ... I've tried searching for this in the past, tried the Bodley broadsheets but never quite found it. I could of course sing another version to this melody but I would love to get hold of the rest of this version. Any ideas please?
