I have seen 3 Doc's now (wonderful NHS) as well as my own GP! The Doc's at Hope (LOL) Hospital ARE specialists and they are working in a group of 3/4 at a time in the fracture clinic! She did manipulate the wrist a bit but no X-ray when the cast came off! She also said that the pain was muscular in nature and could be ignored or treated with over the counter analgesia.
Thanks for the support and advice. I'm off to book an appointment with my GP Monday 8.00 AM! If the sight of me at 8 am doesn't worry him/her I'll have to give up!
