In the end however, if you strip away all but the performer's one or two top priorities to get at the core of why they place themselves at risk of ridicule, disapprobation, embarassment etc, you get to the core objective. So what IS your core objective George? As a regular floor-singer I hope that I hold peoples attention long enough to get through the set. Hopefully this means that they were entertained rather than just being courteous.
