I'm trying to clear up what seems a quotation in a children's rigmarole involving absurdities ["It was in the month of daytime" etc.], where we get "You can tell by my nose, and the tip of my toes, I'm a masher from old Erin's isle." This sounds like a music-hall song, but the phrase occurs all over the place. Maybe one like "Dear Old Erin's Isle", which is mentioned here and there but whose lyrics are oddly elusive. Any ideas?
