To my complete surprise the one tape I have of Joe and Odell Thompson has their version of "Black Annie." It doesn't add much, as they have very few lyrics. They may have learned it from Dink Roberts, who lived nearby when they were growing up. But their version is more a fiddle tune and their words differ slightly. This is all there is: BLACK ANNIE As performed by Joe and Odell Thompson Oh, yeah, Black Annie, Black Annie, Black Annie got shot Right in the middle of the barroom door. Black Annie got shot (3) In the middle of the barroom door.
