Outrageous story in the Hull Daily Mail about the lock keeper on the Beck refusing entry to a boat coming to the Festival because they hadn't booked 2 days ahead! If E.Yorks Council are serious about making the Beck a tourist amenity they'd do well to get rid of all the 'jobsworths' first!
