Zimbabwe's government has indefinitely suspended all field work by aid groups and non-governmental organisations.
Minister Nicholas Goche accused groups of "breaching the terms and conditions of their registration.

The suspension of all field operations by private voluntary organisations (PVOs) and NGOs comes nearly a week after President Robert Mugabe banned some aid agencies from Zimbabwe.

Over several years in the early 1980s, Mugabe executed what
arguably might be the worst of his many atrocities, a campaign of terror against the minority Ndebele tribe in which he unleashed a North Korean-trained army unit that killed between 10,000 and 30,000 people.

Ten years later in 1994, Mugabe was rewarded for his deeds by being given an honorary knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II who was fully aware of his crimes against humanity.
