I have recently got hold of a mandolin - have wanted to learn to play one for ages. It's a Wilhelm Kruse flatback. The previous owner has info which dates it to 1927. The pickguard looks as though it might be genuine tortoise shell. I've looked on the net, but can only find violins and harp-guitars by this maker. Does anyone have any info?
