There are quite a few "non folk" settings to music of John Clare's poems. There is a page somewhere, kept by the John Clare Society I think, listing the settings they know about. If interested, ask the Secretary of the JCS, Linda Curry. http://www.johnclare.org.uk/ I'm sure that the JCS will be inviting Gordon Tyrrell some time. Vicki Clayton has appeared at the festival in the past and it is the turn of Dave Townsend & the Mellstock Band this year. The Festival is a very laid back, gentle day.
