actually I lived in Germany for a lot of my life, seemed to me lots of people there stayed slim for as long as it took to marry and then, let lard be unconfined! Certainly they take eating very seriously...you just try passing on cake at a german person's house...they send for the doctor! Not in my case of course, I never passed on cake in my life!
