eh?!? Bernard wasn't talking about USB speed issues? I'm sure he was talking about USB power issues!
I know that a lot of devices that use power from the USB sometimes have 2 USBs to plug into 2 sockets that then boosts power to the device.
Powered hubs are dodgy because you are never sure how much power they produce through USB and motherboard USB controllers usually boost power if it's demanded from a device.
Maybe you have a driver issue with the desktop PC maybe with the USB controller and it's not detecting the device on PnP properly?
By clicking on the User Name, you will requery the forum for that user. You will see everything that he or she has posted with that Mudcat name.
