But I was thinking of liquid fuel rockets, not outdated solid fuel. But I may be wrong in any case since the Russians had developed the Katyusha. But it's range was quite limited compared to the V2. I suppose though the V2 carried a small payload, its effect was terrifying as there was no way to stop it.
