GUEST,Ken Bruce Murdoch: Liar! (CD Review) (250* d) RE: Bruce Murdoch: Liar! (CD Review) 28 Jun 08

Hello........I'm just connecting to these various threads on mudcat concerning Bruce Murdoch. I went to Verdun High School at the same time as Bruce although we didn't know one another at the time. I distinctly recall him edging me out for the last spot on the VHS cross country team one year though I doubt he remembers that. Obviously, I have not, lol! Later, I followed his career at the many folk venues in Montreal in the late 60's. Lost touch with him when I moved to Vancouver in 1970 for graduate school and didn't see him again until the Northern Lights Folk Festival in Sudbury in either 1975 or 76 after I had begun my academic career at Laurentian University. Since then, I have pursued my academic career which has finally landed me here in Ft. Myers, Fl in southwest Florida.

I have both the 33 1/3 and CBC albums and a year or two ago, I used a piece of software to transfer them to CD (minus the clicks and pops from frequent playing). I did the same with the "Singer-Songwriter Project" on Electra. Bruce, if you are following this thread and don't mind me sending copies......I take it that the cd you distributed in '05 was the CBC album. I woulld be more than happy to send a copy of that to anyone interested, if you give approval.

Just the other day, I heard myself singing "Jericho" in my head and decided to Google Bruce and discovered all this wonderful information. Please let me know more about the forthcoming cd and about the live appearance "Beer" references in the last post.
