Hiya Martin,
You didn't say what the accolade was for, i.e. "Services to British
(or possibly English) Traditional music " ??? etc.
His contribution has been immense and it is good to see him again get some recognition.
I know Vin Garbutt got something similar from a Teesside Uni, but I wonder if long serving performers - the likes of Dick Gaughan, John Martyn, Richard Thompson and a few others who have influenced non Pop music in these Isles have been so rewarded ,or indeed is there a case or not for doing so.
