I know it's the SE US, but there is a relatively new song called "Last Saskatchewan River Pirate" done by Captain Tractor among others. The neat thing is this is a land locked province of Canada with rivers and lakes.

Another one is Rolling Home to ... where ... would be many different places that would fit the meter. Great old song. Tom LEwis does a version using Nova Scotia. Could be used as a finale song.
