My daughter (30 yrs old) just asked me to send her the lyrics to what we always called "I was born". She was singing it to her 4 month old and couldn't remember all of the words. I never knew the very last ve rse and thought that now is the time to try and find the last few lines. - Well - I googled "is old black joe an eskimo" and couldn't believe all the information I got. I have been singing this song since the early 60's, don't even remember where I first heard it - camp maybe - Until now I've never been able to find anyone who ever heard of it - they all just thought I dreamt it up - of course I knew I didn't. So now I can pass it along to my granddaughter with the last verse included thanks to all of you!!
