My husband and I are also CVfest survivors-and we were on the takedown crew Monday as well, so we got to explore all versions of the mud. It helped to imagine I was five again. Tevas or mud boots were a must, although boots had the disadvantage of being sucked off your feet under some circumstances. We enjoyed it despite all, and gained a new appreciation for 4 wheel drive cars. Lots of people jumped in (sometimes literally) to help folks get unstuck, and to shuttle people on Sunday when it was decided that the parking lot was a lost cause. Although a lot of the performers were unfamiliar, it's always an oportunity to discover a new favorite or two, and in our case to find unfamiliar faces to introduce via our Gottagetgon festival.
