The following poem was written by a friend of mine, Joseph J. Conte. Joe has established a foundation to honor his late wife. She died from ALS. He was her sole caregiver at home for 5 yrs. Two of the foundation's many aims include aid to the families of ALS sufferers by helping with the costs of caregivers & to get Dr.s to make home visits which otherwise would necessitate a costly ambulance chge. The Foundation (formed as a NonProfit Org. Recognized by IRS) 501(C)3. pays no salaries. The addy is: ALSGroup.org

The reason for my post: Is there anyone who might be interested in putting a lovely poem into a lovely song? There are so many talented musicians here who might be willing to do this for a very worthwhile cause. If there are profits to be made, the poem's author and founder of "The Constance Joan Schneider Conte ALS Group, Inc." will split evenly any profits realized. Here is the poem:

            My Magic Dream Machine.

My magic machine, is a craft built for two, It is covered in white, and it carries no crew.

It's made of pure silk, and glides into space, As two lovers', hold tight, in a loving embrace.

Propelled by their love, through an ocean of dreams, Lifting off for the heavens, through glittering streams.

The trip seems so short, as the night turns to day, Passing dreamily through, the great Milky Way.

Oh! that magic machine, is on loan to us now, For as long as our love, propels its soft bow.

But as morning draws nigh, and the sun lights the sky, The moon flicks its light, and tells us goodbye.
The magic machine, begins its journey to home, Till tonight once again, through our dreams we will roam.
