Curious when your work life and your real life converge unexpectedly in a little herniated loop of the space-time continuum. One of the things the government pays me to do is monitor fire activity using our environmental ("weather") satellites, which my agency is responsible for operating. You can see how the fire looks from 900 miles up at http://www.osei.noaa.gov -> Fires (on the right) -> United States(Southwest) (near bottom) -> FHSusCO165_N5.jpg.
